Friday March 30th, 1934.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office 'of said Board
Friday March 30th, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A.1. Messrs, Crabb. and Willials
present; Mr. Schnieder, absent; - two members of said Board being
present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.

Messrs, Paul Wrking and Robert Reid, -representing a citizens com-
mittee appeared before the Board, and made a verbal report on the
meeting held by the Committee on Public Properties of Council to-
gether with said citizens committee, in matter of petitioning the
federal government for funds to be provided from the Reconstruction
Finance Corporation for the purpose of building a new public audit-
. orium . in Richmond on a self-liqu&dating basis, the city to furnish
the ground for .said building, after some discuaeion . entered into. by
the committee and Board, the citizens committee were requested to
make a report in writing of the acti_ons _of the point conmittee, as

is made to the council on the question by the committee appointed
by council, this Board refuses to make any recommendation what-so-.
' ever on the project. •
The Board approve and sign a contract with the American Engineering
Co. , whereby said Engineering Company, agrees to exchange two L.P.
1* Hela-Shaw drive stokers for two C. T-5, Hela-Shaw Transmission ant
one rebuilt L.P.12. for the additional sum of 41030.00. -
Claims in amount of 43,002.46, were allowed.
