Friday March 23rd, 1934._ The Special Council Committee, Board of Public- Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board . Friday March 23rd,1934, at 9. o 'clock° A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. • The Board authorize the City Controller, to pay outstanding -claims for materials etc. , used on Municipal Golf Course in year 1933, which are bona fide claims against the city. All receipts which may be received at Municipal Golf Course, for the season 1934, were ordered to be turned over to the Sup 't . , of Parks who was authorized to deposit the same with the City Controller, the said receipts to be kept in a separate fund; and the expenses 'of said Golf Course to be paid out -of said moneys so received, upon vouchers issued and approved by said Sup 't. , of Parks. The Street Department , was directed to place a slow or warning sign at South 13th and "M" Streets, for the protection of school children and others residing and using the streets in that locality. The City Engineer and Street Commissioner, were directed to investi- gate and if possible remedy the condition of sewer in North "A" St. causing water to back up into property of Harry Gibbs. The City Attorneym presented report of his examination of reports . submitted by State Board of Tax Commissioners on property of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant together with his recom- mendations. which was ordered placed on file. Communication from Geo. J. Derbyshire, Sup 't. , of C. & 0. Ray Co. , promising to take action in repairing their crossing at North "D" Street was received. Claims in amount of $4, 914.33 were allowed. The Board authorized the Sup 't. of Light Plant to have his employees to remove the trees along South "A" Street, from 7th to 12th Street preperatory to the city widening said street by setting back the curbs to the sidewalks. • • The Board then adjourned, • (9;_4,ct.k?
