City of Richmond, Indiana,

The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Monday February 19th, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of
said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Sup 't. , of Light Plant, Mayor and City Attorney, were directed
to attend a meeting to be held`at Indianapolis, Indiana, on Wednes-
day February 21st, 1934, the meeting to be held, at Claypool Hotel
by the various Mayors, City Attorneys and Light Plant Superintend-
ents- over the State of .Indiana, in the, interest of laws passed by
the last session of the General Assembly of Indiana, pertaining to
taxing utilities owned by the various cities of the State.
IVr. Hess, Sup 't. , of Light Plant was authorized to contract for
Indiana Coal, to be purchased from the Knox County Consolidated
Coal Corporation at price of $1. 25 per ton f. o.b. mine, coal pur-
N chased in for the making of test runs, under the supervision of
C') engineers to be employed for that purpose.
The Clerk was instructed to prepare an appropriation ordinance in
amount necessary to cover expenses incurred in making repairs in
city building, for materials, supplies and equipment, -said appro-
priation being an extraordinary emergency on account of said needed
repairs.
The Electrical Workers of the city were granted permission to use
the council chamber on Wednesday night of this week for a meeting.
Claims in amount of 47931. 51, were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
