Office of Special Council Committee
City of Richmond, Indiana,
,Monday February 5th, 1934.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of :the City '.of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board
Monday February 5th, 1934, at 9 o 'clock A. H. All the members of
I said Board, Messrs, Craoo, Schnieder and Williams being present, the
following proceedings Were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Upon nvestigation. .the Board on motion unanimously awarded contract
to the McCormick-Deering Store, for a one and one-half ton truck
complete with cab, C712 Wood Body and .G-1 Wood Hydraulic Hoist, for
use, of the Street Department .
Upon recommendation of Street Commissioner J . V. Schneider, the Board
�,i award contract for 1934 V-8. Ford Coupe, to the W. E. McWhinney Co. ,
:vir. Wm. Schnieder opposing said purchase.
The question of various bills contracted by the Committee of Citizenry
having charge of the Golf Course in Glen Miller Park, during the yeak
1`• 1933, was discussed as to whether the city could assume said claims
C) and pay the same out of park appropriations made for this year, upon
the advise and legal opinion given by City Attorney, Shiveley, that
none of these claims could be paid by the city without appropriation
made therefore by the Common Council, . the matter was temporary drop-
ped until a consultation has been had with said council.
. Claims in amount of 818. 90 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
