Office of Special Council Committee.
City of Richmond, Indiana,
Friday December 29th, 1933.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Friday December 29th, 1933,. at 9 o 'clock A. I. All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board received and accepted Surety Bond, filed by Harry K. Shute
in the penal sum of $12,000.00, signed by said Harry K. Shute, as
principal and the National Surety Corporation, of State of New York,
as surtt.ies, under Garbage Contract of said Harry K. Shute, for the
year 1934.
The Board awarded contract to the Leckie Coal Company, for delivery
of 60 cars of coal to the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant
during the month of January, 1934, at price of 01. 20 per ton, f. o.b.
mines. _
The Clerk was directed to write to the Department of Public Health
of Richmond, Indiana, and make inquiries as to the manner in which
Harry K. Shute, is carrying out his contract with the City, in matter
of the collection and disposal of garbage and dead animals in the
City, and if the said Health Department, have any complaint to make
in said matter, to make the same in writing to the Special Council
Committee, acting as a Board of Public Works, in order that' the same
may be properly taken care of.
Claims in amount of 0p2, 640.19 were all®wed.
The Board then adjourned,
