Office of Special Council Committee
City of Richmond, Indiana,
- Monday October 16th, 1933.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar,
Monday October l6th, 1933, at .9 o 'clock A.M.All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol—
lowing proceedings were had, to—wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Board met with the Street Commissioner and City Controller, in
11 an effort to ascertain ways and means, for additional appropriation
for Street Department payroll to finish up the year, and placing the
men back to work aho had been let out, it was reported that the sum
of 03700.00 would be necessary to keep the present force at work or
$4900.00 to install the men let out, in addition to the moneys left
• j in present payroll account, it was further ascertained that the
Street Department, would have approximately $3700.00, balance in
various accounts at the end of the year, and 05200.00 for elections
1 which would not be used this year. The Board directed the Clerk to
prepare an ordinance appropriating the additional sum of $4900.00
• to Street Department payroll and the sum of 0300.00, to the account
�-� 1 of Sundry Expense and repairs. for Public Buildings, and declaring an
extraordinary emergency for said appropriations, and present the
same to council at their meeting to be held this evening.

The Board approved the various payrolls to October 16th, 1933•
