City of Richmond, Indiana,
Friday October 6th, 1933
The Special Council Committ.ee,'Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Friday October 6th, 1913.,at 9 o 'chock'. A.M.. All the members of saidBoa d
Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams, being present , the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceedings of the previous meetings were approved.
The- Board received communication from '6up 't.-, of Police Herbert '.Ray,
with recommendations from Central Housing Foundation of Indianapolis,
Indiana, as to the best methods to be used in exterminating vermin and
eggs of insects in City Building, The communication was referred back
to the Sup 't . , of Police, to make investigation -as to probable cost of
efforts to rid the building of these pests and eggs, and report his
findings back to the Board.
The Board adopted Improvement Resolution No. 9214-1933, for the in-
stallation of hot water heating system and plant in No. 3 Hose House.
and the clerk was directed to advertise for bids-, for furnishing and
installing said heating plant, it being declared- an extraordinary
emergency that said heating plant be installed this year.
In matter of petition for extension of water main in South..3rd Street
from South "P" to "'Q" Street, after discussion' held by board- with the
Sup't. of Water Works andresident property owner, the Board instruct-
ed the' City Civil Engineer, to make a survey of said street -in order
to determine the future grade .ofsame, before taking action on said
petition. .
Claims in amount of G6542.19 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
