Monday September 25th, 1933.
• The Special Council Committee, Board 'of' Public Works, of the City of
Richmond., Indiana, met- in' regular session at the office of-said Board
Monday September' 25th-, 1933, at' 9 o°clock A.M..All the- members of sai•
Board, Messrs, ' Orabb,. Schnied-er-and Williams being present, the fol-
lowing proceedings were had, to-wit:
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.

Jacob-Loos,. was- granted permission to- cut the curb on south side of
National Road east of Baseball park for driveway.
D. C. Hess, Sup 't. of Light Plant , spoke to the Board in reference
1 to statement"published in the Indianapolis Star, that the Public
LServi-ce Commission of Indiana, were contemplating ruling that it
will be unlawful in the future, for' any public or privately owned
Hutility, • to' allow•'discounts for prompt payment of bills or to adct a
penalty for-bills mot paid within the discount period, he submitted
; .a copy of a letter he desired to' write to Parry McCart, chairman of
I said commission, -protesting against such a policy, and requesting
that he at least await until after the meeting of the Municipal Lea-
C-) I gua of Indiana, Sep. 27th,
2Sth & 29th, at Bedford, Indiana, before
I promulgating such a rule, Mr. Hess, was directed to write to said
II chairman as above mentioned.
The,Board awarded contract- to- the Hatfield Campbell Creek Coal Co. ,
I for two: car load of . coal .per day to be delivered to Light Plant dur-
ing the month of October, at price 'of .900 per ton f.o,b.mine, or
$2.38 per ton, f.o.b. Cincinnati, Ohio.
The members of the Board, expect to attend .the Municipal League of
Indiana, convention at Bedford, Sep. 27th, 28th & 29th, unanimously
decided there would be no meeting of the Board until the regular
meeting scheduled for October 2nd, 1933.

The Special Council Cominittee,Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar
Monday October 2nd, 1933, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Crabby and Wil-
liams being present, Mr. Schnieder, absent; two members of said Board
being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
On account of the death of the Mother of Mr. Schnieder, members of
the Board, the Board decided to review and allow claims, and not to
consider any other business.
The Board allowed claims in amount of $7137.85, and approved the pay-
rolls to October 1st, 1933.
The Board then adjourned,
