Office of Special Council Committee.
City of Richmond, Indiana,
. Monday_May 1st,_1933. ---
The Special Council Committee, Board of Puolic Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Monday May 1st, . 1933, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board
' Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the following
proceedings were had, to-wit :

The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read®
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids, for refreshment et . al
concessions in Glen Miller Park for year beginning June lst, 1933,,
with option of two additional years, contractor to pay to City 50%
of contract price Julie 1st and remaining 50% on or before August 1st
'933. ,
Street Commissioner was directed to set oack the curbs at corner of
[ North 19th & Main Streets, - and to repair existing condition at north
east corner of National Road and Easthaven Avenue.
The Clerk was authorized to prepare a bill for an ordinance appropri-
s- ating the additional sum of $40, 000.00 out of earnings of Light Plant
to account of Boiler room, and present the same to council for their
consideration and action.
Mr. A. C. Underhill, appeared . oefore the Board, stating he had pur-
chased from the City; the Elk at Glen Miller Park, for which he had
paid to the City the sum of $15.00; stating the elk had died from ex-
haustion while in transit, and requested the city re-imourse him to
the amount of the purchase price. The City Attorney R. K. Shiveley
informed the Board, the City had no legal right or authority to re-
fund money paid by said Underhill, for said elk. . on motion the claim
was not allowed.

The Board approved the various payrolls to date.
