The' Special Council Committees, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, metrin regular session at the office of said Boars Monday April 24-th, 1933,. at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said - Board-, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : • The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. The Board granted the use of the Council Chamber to the City Fire Department, for holding district meeting May �+th, 1933. In matter of petition for draining Morton Lake, referred to State Board of Health, a communication was received from Indiana State Board of.Health, that there seemed to be. a difference of opinion in our 0ity in this matter as they had received a' petition signed by 4o citizens opposing the draining of the lake while only 23 citizens petitioned to have same drained, stating it was there plan to come to. Richmond shortly after May let, unless the' Mayor and Health Dept think it extremely urgent . - CD A communication from Richmond Property Corporation, Insurance Dept. , notifying the City that a receiver has been asked for the Globe & Rutgers Company, which were carrying insurance policies City Light Plant of considerable size, stating in case of - Liquidation of this Company there may be a rebate on premium paid covering the unexpired term, stating these claims should be filed, and requesting their portion of this insurance if the same is renewed. the same was re- ferred to Sup ' t . , of Light Plant. . In matter of construction of new sidetrack at City Light Plant, the City Attorney informed the Board that under the law, they would have to advertise for oids for -the construction of proposed new side trac at the Light Plant, he stated the City could however build the side track without advertising, =oy using men on ' the plant payroll and he suggested the possibility -of employing C. & 0. Workmen now unemployec which on account of the experience of these men might be desireable. - Sup ' t., Hess, reported increase in the out put . at:r:t ie: CitypLight wfor the month of April 'up to the 21st of the month, over the same period of last year.
