The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session • at the office of said Board Friday April 7th, 1933, at 9 . o 'clock A. a. Messrs, Schnieder and • Williams being present ; Mr. Craob absent ; . two members of said Board being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Complaint of condition of Easthaven Avenue and West Main Street, also at intersection of National Road west, from councilman Frank Benn- was reported to the Board, and referred to Street Commissioner. Earnest Ewin, was granted permission to cut the curb for driveway on east side of South 21st Street between Main Ste and alley Tract-521. Notice of hearing to be held by Public Service Commission of Indian. at 9 A.M. April 1.9, 1933, in matter of The Globe Cartage Co. , . of Ind - anapolis, for certificate of convenience and necessity for operation of motor vehicles as common carriers, was received and filed. The Board received report of appraisers, C .A.Kleinknecht, Sam Jaffe and J .H.Niewoehner, on certain personal property used at City Light Plant, placed on the market for sale. The Board approved contract with Floyd Breithaupt Electric Co. , for • furnishing the city Incandescent lamps for year ending May 1, 1934. The Board awarded contract to International Harvester Co. , of America. for one Model B-2, 4 cylinder 12 ton 136'° wheel base, with Wood G-1 Hydraulic underbody hoist, and S-24 Arista/carat 12 yard capacity dump _ body, fully equipped as per their bid of Feb. 24th, 1933, at net price of $775.00 delivered.
