Monday January 9th,-1933 • The Sr�ial Council Committee, Board of Puolic Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar. Monday January 9th, 1933, .at 9 o ' clock A.M. Messrs, Schnieder and Williams, oeing present ; Mr. Craob. absent; Two members of said Board being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Upon the advice and recommendation of City Attorney R. K. Shiveley. The Board unanimously adopted the following resolution; "Be it resolved by the Special Committee of Council acting as a Board of Works of the City of Richmond; That the proposal made by the Municipal Golf Course Committee by its six members, John F. Hol- aday, Sam S. Vigran, A.L.Williams, Ray Meeks, Dr. E. E. Holland and iillia�n H. Schnieder, be and the same is hereby accepted and approves , and .permission is hereby given to said committee to operate the Muni' cipal Golf Course in Glen Miller Park in the City of Richmond, whe-_e and as the same 'is now licated, provided however that no member of the general puolic shall be excluded from the use thereof unless the shall refuse to comply with the proper rules of the course adopted b said committee and approved by this Committee. Said Municipal Golf Course Committee is hereby authorized to charge for the use of said course the fees set forth in said proposal, to-wit ; Daily fee, 500, season ticket for men, -w10.00, and for ladies, 8.00. The right to • use and manage said course under the terms of said proposal shall be ;imited to the year 1933, and the manage went thereof will be at all times subject to the approval of the superintendent of said park and of this Committee. Said committee is hereby authorized to adopt such reasonable rules for the regulation of the use of said course as it may formulate and adopt, subject at all times, however, to the ' approv- al of this Committee. It is understood, however, that the operation of said golf course by said committee shall be free of all cost to the City of Richmond, and that the City of Richmond shall not be con- sidered as being liable for the payment of any of the expenses of thy, operation thereof or for the payment of any salaries of any person engaged in operating said course or doing any labor or performing . any service thereon. As a condition of the permission hereby granted it is stipulated that at no time shall the operation of said course be permitted to interfere with other activities in said park or the j free use thereof by any citizen of the City of Richmond upon the porL tions of said park ground not now actually laid out for the purposes of said Municipal Golf Course. Said golf course committee shall make full reports to this Committee as to its financial condition and as to all other matters concerning the use and management of said golf course whenever the same is requested by this Committee. In matter of fire department responding to calls from Reid Memorial Hospital and Indiana State Hospital, the City Attorney, reported the City could not legally contract for services of this character, the Board decide the department would respond to calls from either said institutions, when they do not conflict with or hamper the Jde partment in the City of Richmond.
