The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of - Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boars . Friday January 6th, 1933, .at 9 o 'clock A.M • Messrs, Schnieder and Williams being present; M . Crabb. absent. Two members of said Board being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit: The minutes of the preceeding meetings were approved as read. ' .The Board .approved the bond of Harry K. Shute, for the year 1933, in matter of collection and disposal of garbage in the City as per contract . • The .Board awarded contract 'to the Sovereign Pocahontas Company, for two cars of .nut and slack coal, to be shipped -each day -including Sundays to the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plantv until the first day of April 1933, at price of $0. 25 per ton f.o.b.mines. The Board received a tentative proposal from the• Municipal Golf Course Committee, agreeing to operate the Municipal Golf Course in Glen Miller Park for the year 1933, without cost to the City, and Crp at the end of the season to turn the course back to the City in as good condition as when received by it. Whereas, there is no appro- 11 ,priation made by the City, for necessary expenses in operating said . course for the year 1933, the Board';favor said proposal, and refered the same to the City Attorney, as to its legality and if legal to prepare proper and necessary contract between said Committee and City of Richmojii, for placing said course under the operation of said committee. • Sup 't. D. 0. Hess, was directed to meet with various persons and • colamittees, in an effort to prevent legislation by the next General Assembly of Indiana, taking municipal utilities out of the management and control of the Public Service Commission of Indiana. Claims in amount of $6851. 17, were allowed. The Board received 'information, that Earl Crabb, President of Board is seriously ill at Reid Memorial Hospital. • The Board then adjourned, Attest : Prest. of Board lerk of Board
