The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works .ofthe City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office-of said Boa Friday December 9th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said • • Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams, being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The .minutes of the preceeding -meeting were read and approved. - In the .matter of the City furnishing and paying the cost for materi- al and labor, for decorative lighting of christmas trees, as request ed. by the Retail Merchants Association at the last meeting of the Board. The Board find - after a careful investigation, that the City has no appropriation or funds available to pay the cost of necessary labor and material .for said decorations. On motion the Board unani- mously reject the request as made by said merchants association. -Attorney John F. Robbins, appeared before the Board, in an effort to have the Board make some sort of settlement in matter of damages for injuries sustained by Leonard Reece, at Glen Miller Park play- grounds June 26th, 1932. Mr. Robbins was informed the matter was in the hands of the City Attorney Ray K. Shiveley. The Special -Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of • said Boar Monday December 12th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of the Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the fol- lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read & approved. Citizens Mutual Insurance Co. , were granted permission to use the - Council Chamber the 3rd Wednesday in January, 1933, for holding of their annual .meeting. • Upon recommendation of the City Engineer, C.W.Wilson, was granted permission to ' erect a filling. station at S.W.corner of South 9th & t1Q" Street, said- Wilson, ° to dedicate a strip of ground 60 feet in width for street ,purposes -south of said station, the city to grade said new street fr.ot 9th to "Q" Street . • The Board awarded contract to Guy Brown, for installing the new toil ets and urinal in city building at price of $40.00 for labor, being the lowest bid received. (Economy Plumbers bid, $44,00) .Claims in amount of 02941.41 were allowed. The Board then adjourned, • Attest : , E. y Prest. of Board Clerk of Bo' rd
