Office of Special Council Committee.
City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday November 14th, 1932. —The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Monday November 14th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock .A.M. All the members of
said Board, .Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present . The
following proceedings were had, to-wit : .
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
Complaints of Councilman, Benn, Gas Meters registering high, also
request for water on Southwest "A" .Street east of Easthaven Ave. ,
was received, Mr. Benn, to be advised to give the name of persons
whose gas meters register high; extension of water main referred to
Richmond Water Works Corporation.
1 Complaints of Councilman `,Valtermann, as to dirt on sidewalk, trees
in South 6th Street, and trash in alley, referred to Street Dept . ,
petition for extension of water main in South 3rd Street, from South
"P" to "Q" Street, was again received and referred _to Water Works.
The Board received notice from Public Service Commission of Indiana
of hearing to be held at Indianapolis, November .22nd, 1932, in matter
of petition of .Ricxmond Water Works Corporation, for authority to is
. sue and sell $139,000.00 of 6% notes, which was referred to the City
Attorney, to investigate and oppose if found necessary.
The City Civil Engineer and Street Commissioner, were instructed to
resurface the National Road, from West 5th Street west, to have said
street placed in proper condition as early as possible.
Claims in amount of 42950.86 were allowed.
• Pursuant to advertisement, the Board received bids for materials and
equipment at Mi.E.L.& P.P.under the city specifications as listed be-
low, to-wit :
• Item 1-Pipe, Fittings, Drip-Pockets, & Mainfolds; complete with
Flanges,Bolt-Studs,Nute & Gaskets.
Item 2-Crossover Pipe High & Low Pressure Header; Complete with
F1anges,Bolt-Studs,Ntats & Gaskets.
Item 3- Valves complete; for Steam & Boiler Feed Headers.
Item 4- Hangers,Anchors, Brackets & Supports; complete.
