The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said . Board, Monday November 7th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams, . being present the following proceedings were had, to-wit: The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. The Building Inspector, Harry Hodgin, reported that the old "Bell" in the tower of the City Building, should be taken down, as the sup- ports . to the bell are in a dangerous stage of rot, and as they have' stopped ringing the bell, he recommended on account of the danger of the condition of the whole tower, the same should be taken dowiz immediately. The Board. award the contract to Sam Jaffe to remove & take the .bell -out of the tower, the said Jaffe to receive the bell and $25.00 in addition thereto, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare a contract with said Jaffe, he to assume any and all respons- abilty, and to save the city harmless and free from any damage to any person or persons which may be caused by removal of said bell. The Board received a letter of recommendations from Guy Brown, Plum- bina. contractor, recommending certain changes in the present piping of areem House in Glen Miller Park. the name was read and placed on file for future reference. Claims in amount of $11,839.37 were allowed. The next regular meeting of the Board being November llth, 1932, and being Armistice Day, the Board decide that when they adjourn, they adjourn to Monday November 14th, 1932.
