The Special Council Committee., Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar' Friday October 21st, 1932., at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Orabb, Schnieder and Williams being present, the folJ lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Permission was granted Lon Kennedy, to cut the curb for driveway at No. 326 South 8th Street. Request of Councilman Frank Benn, for cinders to be placed in South- west 16th Street, south of National Road and on Southwest 17th St. , north of National Road, was referred to Street Commissioner, for in- vestigation and report as to probable cost to city. Uomplaint of condition of under-pass and steps under the C.& O.Ry. , at South "D" Street, was received from The Starr Piano Co. , the St. Commissioner reported complaint had been taken care of. The Board received a. letter of protest from the Worthington Pump & Machinery Corporation. in matter of awarding contract for condenser to the Ingersoll-Rand Co. , claiming that awarding this contract at 3,000.00 above the Worthington bid, is not justified on the ground of a lower 11 evaluatedt1 price, as it is based upon an incorrect and inflated value of the cost of steam which cannot be substantiated by correct engineering assumptions or obtained in actual operation, and we wish to enter a protest against this award as not being in the best interests of the City. The Board on motion referred the letter of protest to the Sup 't. , of Light Plant. The Special Council Committee,Board of Public Works of the city of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar Monday October 24, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. ,All the members of said Board Messrs, Craob, Schnieder & Williams being present, the following pro ceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read, John Hoey was granted permission to repair the brick sidewalk on N. 18th Street at property at N.W.corner of 18th & N."E" Street, side- walk to be reduced to a 6 foot walk.
