The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar4 Monday September 26th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Orabb,, Schnieder and Williams being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit: The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. A petition signed by E. A. Mariani Co. , Inc. , praying that the north one-half of South 0BB" Street, be- vacated from South 2nd Street, west to the east line of the Right of Way of the. C. & O. Railroad; was received and referred to the City Plan Commission for investigation and report. • The City Civil Engineer, was instructed to prepare plans for con- structing cement curb & gutter in South "G" Street at the east ap- proach to the South Side Bridge,. and Street Department authorized to construct said curb & gutter.. • Claims in amount of $ 21, 662.44 were allowed. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Schnieder, was authorized to have necessary repairs made at the resident property in Glen Miller Park on east Main Street; also, to have roof at Market House repaired to stop the leaks. Street Commissioner, was authorized to repair the sidewalk on west side of South 5th Street, between railroad bridge and South "G" St . Clerk was directed to notify, various officials using city auto 's to keep the same cleaned up and polished. Sup 't. , of Light Plant was authorized to return all certified checks deposited with 'ids received on Condensers, etc. , except the checks of the Worthington Mfg. Co. , and the Ingersoll-Rand Co. , Sup 't. , of Light Plant was authorized to contract for 2 car of coal per day for -the next 2 weeks, with the W.Va. , Coal & Coke Co. , at price of .250 ton at mines or $ 1.67 per ton at Addison, Ohio. , Citizens League was granted permission to use the Council Chamber for meeting of October, 1932.
