HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-12-1932 13' - Office of Special Council Committee City of Richmond, Indiana, • Monday August 8th, 1932._ The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in. regular session at the office .of said Boar Monday August 8th, 1932, at. 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crab'., Schnieder and Williams, being present . The fol - lowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Invitation from the Officials and Common Council of Winchester, Ind. • was read inviting the officiates and council and associates, to the dedication and public inspection of the sewage treatment plant, just installed in their city, on Tuesday August 9, 1132, at 2 :30 P. M. All present were requested to attend if possible . Claims in amount of $18, 201.15, were allowed. The Special Council Committee; , Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar' Friday •August 12th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Craba & Schnied er present ; Mr. Williams, absent two iiernbers of said Board being present; the fallowing proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the. proceeding meeting were read and approved. Pursuant to investigation of bids received, for furnishing and in- stalling boiler in Glen Miller Park Green house, it having been as- ' certained that the bid of John H. Niewoehner, received August 5th 1932, in sum :of 556. 50, was predicated on furnishing a seven sectio Prox boiler, while the bid of Russell- Stout on said date in sum of $548.00, was for furnishing a 6 section Prox boiler, on the recom- mendation of Mr. Schnieder, the contract for furnishing and installi Zg a .7 section Prox boiler at said green house, vch.s awarded to John H. Niewoehner at bid price of $556. 50, complete. The Board decide to take out compensation insurance on the various city parks and playgrounds, if price is not to high.
