HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-05-1932 • 133 Office of Special Council Committee City of Richmond, Indiana, Friday August 5th, 1932. The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Friday August 5th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of Said Board, Messrs, Crabb, Schnieder and Williams, being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were- read and approved. - Street Commissioner, was authorized to place gravel on West Main St . at Clear Creek bridge, to widen the burial on side of road. Request of councilman Waltermahn, for electric light at South 6th & " L" Street, reported at last session of council, was received as there are no buildings except a filling station at this point , the Board unanimously decided that light is unnecessary at said point . Copy of report of order of Public Service Commission of Indiana, in matter of Federal Express Inc. , to operate motor vehicles as a com- mon carrier over route 40, thru Richmond was received and placed on file. Cr) The City Civil Engineer, was authorized to have the " Zoning Ordinance" printed in pamphlet form. The Street Commissioner was authorized to set back the curb at North east corner of South 13th & ."G" Street; also to change the inlet at North 9th & Sailor Street. Pursuant to advertisement, the Board received bids for furnishing & installing Boiler in Green House at Glen Miller Park as follows: " Russell Stout,bid; Ideal Redflash 3 W 9 Boiler_4 LlL-3. 00 :- Prox 40-W-6----$548.00. " C. W. Wright, .bid; Ideal Redflash 3-W-9 Boiler - Prox Boiler add-415.00. " John H. Niewoehner, bid: Boiler according to plans & specifications complete--- ,556. 50. " Stanley Plumbing & Electric Co. , bid; Prox +0-W-6, Boiler $621. 00. " Charles Johanning, bid; Replace boiler with same size and make-$733.00; deduct $58.00 if present foundations are used. All bids taken under advisement , for investigation and report of City Civil Engineer and Park Superindendent . The Board approved the various payrolls to August 1st, 1932.
