The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works, of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board, Monday June 13th,. 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. M.. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Crabb., Schnieder and Williams being present. the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. His Honor Windsor B. Harris Mayor, reported that he had investigate: and discussed the matter of band concerts to be held in Glen Miller Park this sdason, with the various musical organizations, and would recommend that the band concerts be distributed as follows : . viz: American Legion Band, 5 concerts for the total sum of $400.00; Nusbaum Band--- 14 concer.ets for total sum of 200.00;, Musicians band- 4 concerts for total sum of 200.00. The Park Superintendent, was directed to secure contracts for band concerts from the organizations mentioned at price stated. Mr. H. A. Dill,. Sup 't . , of Richmond Water Works Carp. , reported that he had made an investigation as . requested in matter of petition for water main extension in South 3rd Street from "P" to "Q" Street and reported that the line would be prohibitive both to the City • and Water Works at this time, owing to the condition of the street and small number of consumers on the line, and that the line is not necessary for fire protection. The Board received bids for awnings on city building as follows, viz: " Weiss Furniture Store" bid; Nine awnings complete, pattern sane- as on police dept, windows/ y57. 0. " Needham, The Top Man, bid; Nine awnings complete 475. 50. Like ones on police windows--4Si.39. The bid of the Weiss Furniture Store, being the lowest bid received, contract was so awarded. - Claims in amount of p3163. 21 were allowed. • • The Board then adjourned, Prest. of Board Attest : Z644;7/'1 Clerk of Board
