The Special Council.nOommittee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar.
at 9 o 'clock A.M.: Friday June 10th, 1932, All the members of said
_ Board, Messrs, Crabb_, Schnieder and Williams being present. The fol-
lowing: proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.

Councilman Oscar C. Williams, having been appointed by the common
• council as a member of the Board to fill the vacancy caused by the
death of A. J . Ford. The Board met and reorganized as follows :
Mr. Crabb, president to have charge of Municipal Electric Lighting
& Power Plant affairs; Mr. Williams, Sewers, Stueets, Alleys, etc. ,
Mr.- Schnieder, Public Buildings and Parks.
Recommendation of Mr. Benn, that gravel be placed on the side of
West Main Street at Clear Creek bridge, was referred to Street Dept . ,
Complaint of ,Mr. Waltermann, of Richmond Gravel Co. , diverting .the
flow of water in river at South "G" Street bridge, by having filled
C7 the natural channel of the stream, causing a menace to public health
The Clerk was directed to notify the Richmond Gravel Co. , to remove
the gravel etc. , from the channel thereby allowing the water in the
river to follow its natural course.
Mr. Shissler, called attention to the Crescent Garbage Co. , not cove -
ing their trucks, and filling the same, so that the liquids spill
along the Street. The Clerk was directed to notify said company to
comply with their contract for hauling garbage along the 'streets of
the city.
A petition signed -by Geo. H. darting et-al. praying for water main
to be laid in South 3rd Street, from South "P" to ' c" Street, was
received and on motion referred to Richmond Water. Works Corp. , for
investigation and report_.
The Sup 't. , of Parks together with the Street Commissioner, was auth
orized to have a hot plant mixture placed around the track of the
.. merry-go-around in Glen. Miller Park.
The City Civil Engineer, was authorized to investigate and report
wind:hestimate on cleaning or dregging the lake at Glen' Park
Claimsl in amount of $4287.94 were allowed.
