Office of Special Council Committee
City. of Richmond, Indiana,
Friday May 20th, 1932.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the: City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
Board, Friday May 20th, 193.2,- at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, C,r_abb. and
Schnieder present ; Mr. Ford, president of said Board having been ill
for the past 12 weeks, passed.:. away last Monday, May 16th, 1932, at
an Indianapolis Hospital. All the members of said Board being pres-
ent, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board adopted the following resolution, to-wit :
Be it resolved, By the Special Council Committee, Board of Public
Works of the City of Richmond; that in the death of Albert J. Ford
the City of Richmond has lost a faithful, efficient servant and a
good citizen, and we have sustained the loss of a friend whose fel-
lowship it was an honor and a pleasure to enjoy; and we bear willing
testimony to his many virtues, to his unquestioned honest and stain-
less life, and we extend to his bereaved family our heartfelt con-
dolence, and pray that infinate goodness may bring speedy relief to
their burdened hearts, and inspire them with the consolation that
CD Hope in Futurity and Faith in God live even in the shadow of the
tomb. Resolved, that this resolution be copied and made a part of
the records of this meeting.
The Board approved the transfer of the contract entered into July
12th, 1915, loy and between Horace J. Grimm and City of Richmond, Ind . ,
granting permission to said H.J .Grim to install and maintain a Gaso-
line Dispenser at #44 North 7th Street, to John Druley who shall
file a bond in •the penal sum of 1600.00 safeguarding said City as
provided in said -contract.The Street -Commissioner, yeas directed to repair -the intersection of
first alley south of Main -Street running east from South 10th •Street
in rear of Indiana Theatre. • . .
The Clerk was -directed to notify the T.H. I . & E. -Traction Company
- to repair the street in their -right of way along National Road west;
. west of Southwest 5th Street. • - - -

Claims in -amount of 7962.•34,- were allowed,The various complaints from council were referred to departient
heads, • request for arc light at W:16th & Main Street; take under
advisement for investigation. - - -
