The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana,- met in regular session at the office of said Board Friday May 6th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, Crabb. and Schnieder present; Mr. Ford , absent; Two members of said Board being present. the following proceedings were had,. to-wit : • The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Permission was granted S.W.Bricker, to. widen the driveway at garage 1211 East Main Street. Permission was granted Geo. W. Shepman, est . , to cut the curb for driv - way on east side of South 7th Street between Main & South"A"Street. A remonstrance signed by Mary Toschlog and 38 others residents and property owners, remonstrating against opening 2nd alley north of South"E"Street, from South 6th Street east to alley, was received and referred to City Plan Commission. The CityvEngineer, was directed to investigate the alley at 406 North west 6th Street, as to complaint registered about cinders washing CD into garage at above number. a4 The Sup 't. , of Light Plant presented tabulated form of the bids re- ceived Monday May 2nd, 1932, for material and equipment listed under the following Items, contracts awarded upon recommendation of the Sup 't. , of Plant as follows, to-wit : " Medora Brick Co. , Item #1- 014.15 M. Messrs, Crabb. and Schnieder present; Mr. Ford absent; Two members of said Board being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : • • -The minutes of the prec-eeding meeting were read and approved. - W-hereas-, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, has heretofore adopted a resolution that all- automobiles of private- pas , -senger .•type used for business purposes of the City, have the name of - City Department painted on each side of said automobile of suf-ficie t size and distinctness, so as to be easily read a distance of at lea1t fifty feet, and that hereafter no such automobile belonging to the city, be used for any- purpose other than business of the city, and that said automobiles shall not be used by any employee for any pri- vate or personal business or purpose of any such employee. The Board upon motion, order the Clerk to notify the various depart- ment -heads•, to sae that -the purpose and intent -of said resolution be enforced and carried into effect. The Superintendent of the M.E.L.& P .P. was authorized to advertise for bids for Condensers, Waterr -Feed Pumps and Feed Water Heaters for said plant. - Claims in amount of $17,390.32 we-re allowed. • • • The Board then adjourned, Prest . of- Board pro-tem.
