`Friday April 22nd 1932. _
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar
Friday April 22nd, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A. M. Messrs, Orabb and Schniel-
. der being present; Mr. Ford absent; Two members of said Board being '
present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : •
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Street Commissioner was directed to set back the curb and gut- '
ter on west side of Northwest 5th Street at driveway of Number ' 5
Fire Station.
The Board received a bid from Sam Jaffe Company, to furnish all labor
aid material to take down the fire bell located at the City Building
Tower for the sum of $50.00 and the old bell and the parts that go
with it, we carry compensation insurance we would also •be responsibl
for damages done by our men, but will not be responsible for any
damage that should occur beyond our control. The same was taken un-
der advisement, for investigation and report.
Sup 't. Hess of U.E.L. & P.P. submitted specifications for equipment
under Items 1 to 1M inclusive, for which bids will be received on
May 2nd, 1932, which were placed on file.

Claims in amount of W.177.37 were allowed.

Monday April' 25th, 1932.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Monday April 25th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, Orabb and Schnie4-
er being present ; Mr. Ford being absent ; Two members of said Board
being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting. were read and approved.
The Board grant to Mrs. Tracey the privilege of using Lot belonging
to the City the same being Lot No. 25, A. Moffitts Addition situate
on North 15th Street, being the 2nd lot north of North"H" Street ,
for gardening purposes upon payment of $2. 50 for season of 1932.
A petition signed by E. Oesting & 37 others, praying fur tree opening
of aliey north of South "E" Street, between Lots 8 & 9 A. Hamptonsl
Addition, running from South 6th Street east to alley between South
- 6th & 7th Street, the same was referred to the City Plan Commission
for investigation and recommendation.
A Mrs. Herzog, appeared before the Board, requesting permission to
remove the top soil from South 12th Street between South"M" & "N"
Street, the same was taken under advisement until consulting the
City Civil Engineer.
Claims in amount of 410, 109.83 were allowed.

The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Friday April 15th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.N. Messrs, Crabb_ & Schnieder
present; Mr. Ford, absent ; Two members of said Board being present .
the following proceedings were had, to-wit : ..
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
-The City Civil Engineer, was authorized to have the walks in South
10th Street ark• alb the walks in South 7th Street park, surfaced
,�j with pr. a p`nalt, according to estimated. cost as prepared
by him.
Mr. Hess', Sup 't. , of Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant, sub-
mitted a report for Ma.rchr1932, first Month under the new rates;
Total operating revenues for 1931458, 225.62, for 1932-$51,351.77;
Total average revenues per K.W.H. 'sold- March 1932- .0265; 1931-
.0285; Estimated yearly decrease or total average reduction,8.435%0 .
Decrease in March- 7%; z, copy having been mailed to the Mayor and
all the. councilmen, the report was not read.
Ca Notice was received from the Public Service Commission of Indiana,
that the hearing in matter of the petition of Coordinated Transport
Inc. , had been changed from April lath, 1932, to Thursday April 21,
• 1932, at 10 o 'clock A.M. . Commission Rooms, Indianapolis, Ind. ,
No further business appearing the

Monday April 18th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. Messrs, Crabb and Schnie L
er present; Mr. Ford, absent ; Two members of said Board being present
the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
Permission was granted Rosa Jones, to garden South 12th Street, from
"H" to "I" Street at her own risk.
The Clerk was directed to prepare a resolution and present the same
. to council, requesting permission to make sale of two old Ford Auto
Trucks, of Street Dept . , the same being obselete and ie.s tnan PiOO.

and shovel, for removing the earth in grading Whitewater Boulevard
at cost of $4.00 per, hour.
Payrolls to April 16th, 1932, were approved.
