The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
• Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boad
Friday February 19th, 1932, at 9 o ' clock A.M. All the members of
said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb and Schnieder, being present . The
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Complaints received from council at their last meeting were as fol-
lows :- Mr. Benn, called attention to the east end of alley between11
Pearl Street and Peacock Road; Also, the alley between National Rd. ,
and Southwest"A"Street, from Southwest 6th to 7th Street ;
Ir. .Valtermann, called attention to South 4th Street , from South" 0"
to "P" Street ; also, sewer trenches in South 6th also South"B" Street,
the 3oard directed theStreet Zomnissioner to investigate these com-
plaints and report back as to what could or should be done.
The Clerk was directed to notify the T,H, I .& E.Traction Co. , to re-
pair Sheridan Street between their tracks, from Sherman to Grant St
Street Com i �sioner, was instructed to have tree removed from South
west 14th Street at National Road. .
The matter of changing arc light on east Main Street at Ha dley ' s
property (Ravinia Park) was taken under advisement for investigatio
by the Board and Sup 't . , of Light Plant .
Pursuant to advertisement for accumulated junk at Light Plant, con-
sisting of Scrap Copper, Scrap Brass and Scrap Iron,'(aptra.isers ap- ii
pointed by the Judge of Wayne County Circuit Court, having fixed th
value of same as follows : Copper- , 044.culb.Brass-.030 lb. Iron 43 .00
per net ton) The following bids were received as follows, to-wit :

Copper-44. 28 cwt . Brass-4 3 .40 cwt . Iron-4 4. 57 net ton,
" Harry Adler, Indianapolis, Ind. , bid;
Copper wire & Sheet copper in two riles as shown me-.; 2550. 00 for to ;
Copper as above 4/18,Ylb; Brass-. 02��/0 lb; Iron-45. 50 per ton.

"Anaconda Wire & Cable Co. , Cincinnati, Ohio, bid;
Cleaned pur copper scrap-- .0420 per pound, f. o. b. cars, Richmond.
The bid of Sam Jaffe Company, being the best bid received accord !
ing to advertisement per pound, and he having agreed to pay the i�ig1
1 prices cuoted' for brass and iron, the bid of Sam Jaffe Company was ,

The Board approved the contract & oond aof E. A.Mariani Co. , inc . ,
for furnishing & applying Asphalt , Tar Oil etc. , for 1932 .
Payrolls to February 16th, 1532, were approved, claims in amount of
42644. 37 were - allowed.
Next regular meeting day of the Board falling on Washington ' s Birth-
day, the Board decided that unless called for, they would not hold
meeting on that ' date, and the Board then adjourned, until next re-
gular meeting date thereafter, Friday February 26th, 1932.
