City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday February 8th , 1Q32.The -S .;i al Council Com_.iittee, Board of Public Works of the City of
the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office
of said Board, on Monday February 8th, 1932, at. 9 o °clock A. M. All
the- members of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb- and Schnieder, being
present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The n-mutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Street Commissioner was directed to repair the brick walk on
south side of City Hall, extending east from North 5th- Street .
The City Civil Engineer, submitted tabulated figures for bids receiv. d
on Asphalt, Tar, Stone, Gravel etc. , February 5th, 1932, and recom-
mended contracts. be let as follows, to-wit :
All Bituminos, except emulisified not handled thru distributor to
the i. A. Mariani Company, incorporated.
All Rock Asphalt, to Ohio Valley Rock Asphalt Company.
All Plant Hot--Mix & Emulisifi ed not "hand-led thru dist . , W.L. Magaw. '
N All Crushed Stone & Screenings, Erie Stone Company.
All crushed Gravel except patch material, Richmond Gravel Co. , and
American= Aggregates Corp . ,
All crushed Gravel patch materials, American Aggregates Corp . ,
• All Concrete Gravel and Sand , . Richmond Gravel Company.
A11 Pea Gravel, American Aggregates Corp. ,
All Pit Run Gravel, Richmond Gravel Co. , and Lee Ridgeway.
All Mason Sand, American Ary°greg aces Corp . ,
The Board on motion awarded the contracts to the various bidders
as above recommended by the City Civil Engineer. -
Whereas, An emergency exists, for the purchase of Ash Hoppers for
the two new boilers at Light Plant , on motion the Board awarded the
contract for furnishing two Ash Hoppers, to fit- the stokers to be
erected in coiriection with the two new boilers at Light Plant , to the
American EngineeringCo. , at price of i< 3, 235. 00 delivered.
Claims in amount of 413, 253. 99 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
