The Special Council Committee, Board of .Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of. said Board • Friday January 15th, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Orabb and Schnieder, being present . The follow- ing proceedings were had, to-wit : -The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Permission was granted the Dutzen Bakeries M.Jones, Mngr. , to cut the curb at 28 South 5th Street, for driveway. The Board approved the bond of Harry K. Schute for year 1932, under Garbage Contract, as of date of Jan. 1, 1932. The Street Commissioner was instructed to have contractor to repair • the intersections at South 7th & " C" St ; and South 8th "B 'Street, as per contract on South "B" Street sewer. N The Board approved an agreement signed by the Mayor, wherein Jacob N Loos and Josephine K.Loos, his wife, in consideration of payment of C7 $50.00 by the City, grant the City a right of way to maintain the a 12" sewer upon their land where the same is now located, and to use - • _ the same as an effluent drain to the sewage disposal plant, the same being- situated east of South 23rd Street south of Main Street . Upon recommendation of IJ. C.Hess, Sup 't . , of Light Plant, the -Board awarded contracts for brick and brickwork for the two 1, 000 H. P. Boilers at Light Plant as follows, and direct all other certified checks received with bids be returned as follows, No. 1 �n Niewoehner=Long Corporation, for Electric Furnace Brick O $42.40 M. '! Aetna Fire Brick Co. , No. 2 brick G $25. 70. " L. M. Beall Construction Co. , Labor for laying brick----- p332L1-.00 'I i' f' II II Labor for settigg the--- 50.00 Niewoehner Long Corp . , Tile and Fire Clay. Mr. Hess, stated that he would call a meeting of the Manufacturers, : City Officials, together with Mr. Harry Boggs, rate making expert, to explain the method of arriving at making a new schedule of rates for electricity, which suggestion was heartily accepted by the Board The Board awarded claim in sum of 12+,1•I-84.00 to the Foster-Wheeler Corp. , - being 50% payment of boiler equipment shipped to date. • • The Board then adjourned, 4/ go.lol .
