Monday January llth, 19_32.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board .
Monday January llth, 1932, at 9 o 'clock A.iv .All the members of said
Board, Messrs, Ford, Craob and Schnieder, being present . The follow-
ing proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read & approved.
The Board directed the clerk to advertise for bids as fol. Lows, viz :
For furnishing & applying on the streets, •by a power distributor,
of 40, 000 gal. more or less of various grades of asphalt and 40, 000
gal. moe o less of various grades of tar. , Also, for furnishing to
the citi'in tank car lots smaller quantities of various grades of
asphalt and various grades. of tar; Also, for furnishing f. o.b . city
in drum lots smaller quantities of various grades of asphalt and var- .
ious grades of tar; all asphalts and tar to conform with specificat-
ions of the Indiana State Highway Commission, adopted April, 1931.
Also, for furnishing f. o. b . Richmond +oO tons more or less of Rock
Asphalt ; also for furnishing loaded on trucks at plant in Richmond
500 .tons more or less of plant hot mixed with native lake asphalt ;
conforming with specifications of Indiana State Highway Commission.
Also for furnishing f. o.b. City or at plant 500. tons more or less
of various sizes stone and gravel aggregates, listed under "Designat! •
ion column" of Item 15-C Indiana State Highway Commission specifi-
cations of April, 1931. •
Upon recommendation of Sup ' t . , Hess., the Board award contract for •
Circuit Breaker to Westinghouse Elec. & Mfg. Co. , and award the con-
tract for Non-lReturn Valves to Acme Engineering Agency. , for two
valves. •
Upon recommendation of Sup 't . , Hess, the bids of George Allen & Sons;
Power Plant Efficiency Co. , and Ironton Fire Brick Co. , were reject-
ed as being to high and direct the clerk to return their certified
checks deposited with their bids on Brick & Brickwork for two new •
boilers at Light Plant ..
