Office of Special Council Committee
City of Richmond, Indiana,
Thursday December 31st, 19,31.
The Special Council Committee,Boa.rd of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar
Thursday December 31st, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of
said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb_ and Schnieder being present, the
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Board order the Richmond Water Works Corporation to extend the
6" water main in South 20th Street,. between Reeveston Road and South
"E" Street, approximately 175 feet.
The Board directed the Western Union Telegrapgh Co. , to remove their
clocks from the Police Station, Radio Station and No. 1, Fire Station
and authorize the purchase of electric clocks installed instead.
The Board approved contract of Overhead Door Co. , in matter of in-
stalling electric operated overhead door in Police Garage.
The Board approved the bond of Harry K. Shute in sum of $12.,000.00
for the collection and disposal of garbage for year 1932.

A new estimate of cost of collection a40. removal of ashes, trash
etc. , by the City for the year 1930, was rece.iv-ed by the Board and
ordered presented to council at their next meeting.
Claims in. amount of $1807. 73 were allowed, and the Board approved
various payrolls to end of the year.
