NAMING WATERFRONT PARK ROADWAYS
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret wish to honor the
memory and accomplislunents of Sgt. Andrew F. Baumgartner by naming the Waterfront
Park access road in honor of Carteret resident Sgt. Andrew F. Baumgartner, who was a
Prisoner of War from 1942 to 1945: and
WHEREAS, Borough also desires to name the road behind the miniature golf course,
running parallel to Veterans' Pier at Waterfront Park Lighthouse Way:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
1. That the Waterfront Park access road shall be designed Sgt. Andrew F.
Baumgartner Memorial Blvd.
2. The roadway parallel to Veteran's Pier at Waterfront Park will be
designed Lighthouse Way.
3. That the appropriate signage shall be installed designating each roadway.

original on November 10, 2017.
