RESOLUTION NO. 23-090
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-
LOCKA, DIRECTING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXPLORE
THE FEASIBILITY OF WRAPPING ONE POLICE VEHICLE FOR
CEREMONIAL PURPOSES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-Locka's police staff attends various events on behalf of the
City of Opa-Locka ("City") to include support for organizations and within surrounding
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, to represent and distinctly identify City vehicles during ceremonial
occasions, the City Commission hereby directs the Interim City Manager to explore the feasibility
of wrapping one (1) police vehicle for said purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is in the best interest of the City
and its residents to direct the City Manager to explore the feasibility of wrapping one (1) police
vehicle for ceremonial purposes.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. RECITALS ADOPTED.
The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
SECTION 2. AUTHORIZATION
The City Commission of the City of Opa-Locka hereby directs the Interim City Manager
to explore the feasibility of wrapping one police vehicle for ceremonial purposes.
SECTION 3. SCRIVENER'S ERRORS.
Sections of this Resolution may be renumbered or re -lettered and corrections of
typographical errors, which do not affect the intent of this Resolution may be authorized
by the Interim City Manager, following review by the City Attorney, without need of public
hearing, by filing a corrected copy of same with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE
This Resolution shall take effect upon the adoption and is subject to the approval of the
Governor or Governor's Designee.

possibility of wrapping one police vehicle for ceremonial purposes.
Staff Summary
The City's police staff attends various events on behalf of the City, organizations, and surrounding
municipalities. To visibly represent and distinctly identify City vehicles during ceremonial occasions, the
Interim City Manager shall explore the possibility of wrapping one police vehicle.
Financial Impact - Cost is unknown at this time, but will be part of the resulting report that will be produced
in exploring the feasibility of wrapping a police vehicle.
Proposed Action:
It is recommended the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka adopt legislation directing the Interim City
Manager to explore the possibility of wrapping a police vehicle for ceremonial purposes.
