The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar ' Friday December 4th, 1931, at 9 ooclock A.M. Messrs, Ford and Schnie der being present; Mr. Crabb, absent; two members of said Board bein present. The following proceedings were had., to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. Mr. Schnieder, was authorized to have John Niewoehner, examine the heating system in the city building, and ascertain why, we can not heat the city jail and police garage also fire station, and make . an estimate of the probable cost of system to get heat as mentioned. The American Dist, Telegraph & telephone Co. , were granted permis- sion were necessary along the route of their lines, with the consent of the property owners to trim the trees, said trees to be trimmed in a proper manner without endangering the growth of the same. Standard Oil Co. , wer granted permission to cut the curb for driveway on Lot , H.H.Fettas Add. , at corner of Main & 19th Streets. The following resolution was received adopted by thee -South Side Im- provement Association, viz : We welcome the proposed reduction in the price of Electric Light & Power charges and we hope that everybody will be benefitted by the reduction and be it further Resolved, that if possible avoid the ex- pense of an expert to adjust the rates to different consumers. signed by, Wm.H®Bartel, Secretary. A communication quoting prices for services if rendered in adjusting II the Electric Rates, by the firm of Herdrich and Boggs, was received as follows, to-wit : Pursuant- to you request we quote herewith our list of prices for various classes of employees' Mr. Herdrich or Mr. Boggs---$35.00 per day; SeV.or Accountants $25.00 per day; Junior accountants, $''2100, $17. 50, or 0.5.00 per day; Typing, clerical, proof readyng, etc. , 610. 50 per day, plus necessar traveling expenses. mach day consists of seven hours work. Our employees have • been with us for years and are thoroughly qualified to do the work assigned to them. The same was taken under advisement, until a con- ference may be had with Sup °t. , Hess and City- Attorney Shiveley. His Honor the Mayor, requested to know, that if the additional radio tower can be erected on top of the City Building, without cost to the city, or without endangering the building in any manner, if the Board would give their consent for such erection, to which the consent of the Board was given, with the understanding such tower was in no way to cost the city, nor to endanger the building in any manner.
