HomeMy Public PortalAbout10-26-1931 Office of Special Council Committee City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday October 26th, 19_31. The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, on Monday October 26th, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb. and Schnied- er being present.. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the proceeding meeting were read and approved. Mr. D. C. Hess, Sup °t. , of Light Plant, reported that in inves- tigating the plans submitted With the various bids received for Two boiler feed pumps, that all bids be rejected other than the bids submitted, by the Dean Hill Pump Co. , of Anddrson, Indiana, end the Worthington Pump & Machinery Co. , of Cincinnati, Ohio. , The Board thereupon authorize Mr. Hess, to return the certified checks deposited with bids .for said pumps, except the Dean-Hill Pump Co. , and the Worthington Pump & Machinery Co. , The Board directed the a.E.L.& P.P. to advertise for bids for furnishing the plant with a 15,000 Turbo Generator, to be in- tailed at said plant. . . The Clerk was directed to advertise for heating plant to be in- stalled in No. 4- Hose House, according to plans and specifica- tions prepared by the City Civil Engineer. Claims in amount of $8853.80 were allowed. The Board instruct the Street Commissioner to roughin the road on east Main Street east of Glen Park, or to place a non-skid surface on road, under the directions of City Engineer.
