Monday October 19th, 1931.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public , Works of ' the City
of Richmond, Indiana, - met in regular: session at the office of said
Board Monday October 19th, 1931, . at 9 o ' cluck A.M. Messrs, Ford
Crabb present; . ivir. Schnieder aosent ; two members of said Board be-
ing present, the following proceedings lv:ere had, to-wit.:
The minutes of the' preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons whose prop-
erty is primarily assessed under Improvement Resolution No.91a-1931,
for the improvement of South , 16th Street from South "E" to"H" Strut. I/
After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board ap-
proved a final assessment roll, confirming the primary assessment
roll as heretofore .approved, and now direct the sane be forthwith
transmitted to the Department of Finance.
His Honor the Mayor made a verbal report of meeting held at. New
Castle, Indiana:, regarding the Therm Basis of billing gas consumers,

Park Sup ' t . , Coleman was authorized to purchase 164 trees to be se
out on various streets and parks.
A request for an arc light at S . W'.16th "E" Sts, was received fron
Claude King, which was referred to Sup 't . , of Light Plant .
The Sup ' t . , of Light Plant waS air ected to remove the light in al-
ley at the rear of residence of former Fire Chief Miller.,,
The Whitewater Valley Loan Co. , were granted permission to cat 'rye
curb at 1427 Hunt Street, . for driveway.
The Board reject all uids heretofore received for heating plant at
No. '+ hose house, and direct the clerk to re-a.avertise for aids, oil
plans to be prepared- by City En ineering Department .

Upon the recommendation of Yaup ' t . , D. C.Hess, . the _Board award the
contract for two forced draft fans to the Sturtevant Co. , of Boston
mass. , as Der their bid received September 4-, 1931, plus 0.50.00
to cover changes ordered by plant superintenda.nt .
Maims in amount of 5 736. 29 were allowed.
