Friday October 16th-1931.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works' of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
Board F 'iday October 16th,1931, at 9 oclockA.M. Messrs Ford and
1 Schneider being present, Mr Crabb being absent; two members of
said Board being present. The . following- .proceedings were had:
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Board approved the request of D.E.Thomas, to cut the curb in
front of Lot No 11, Jenkins-, Addition, on the east side of
South-west 5th Street.
A letter from the Liberty Light & Power Company, signed by
Mr. A.M.French, was read in regard to accident to trucks.
Letter not satisfactory. to. Board, advised that a more explicit
ecplinart:ion be made to the Board by Mr. French.
„ I! The Board again deferred the letting of contract for heating
No 4, Fire Station until Monday October 19th-1931.

The City Engineer Mr. Hodgin as requested, submitted an approx-
imate cost for the reconstruction of the National Road East
between Glen Miller Driveway to East Corporation Limits as follows:
Cut down crown of roadway 6 'inches and pave the roadway with
concrete -- $45,000.00
Raise curb on both sides of road, scarify & roll, place
a penetration with a non-skid surface $42,100.00
'I Take off center, raising, sides next to gutter two inches
scarify and resurface with retread macadam or Asphalt $16,100.00
After hearing the report the Board. decided.to tinvite
the property owners along- the National Road by publication
to meet with the Common Council and Special Committee ef
i' Council:Board of Public Works on Monday evening October 19th.
