The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Boar '
• Monday September 28th, 1931, at 9 o ' clock A. 1. Messrs, Ford and
j Schnieder, present Mr. Crabb., absent ; two members of said Board be-
ing present. The following proceedings- were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read. •

was received, and referred to Sup t . , of Light Plant.

A letter addressed to the Mayor from Mr. Laws, State Dairy Inspector
was received; requesting that Ora Wilson the City Dairy Inspector
be authorized to attend convention at Atlantic City, the Committee
referred the request to Secretary of Board of Public Health.

i matters pertaining . to Golf Course of the City.
Claims in amount of '41800.97 were allowed.

A body of representative citizens appeared before the Board in an
effort to have the city grade ';uhitewater Boulevard, from National an,
to the new bridge. The visitors informed the Board that unless work
was started this fall on this street, there would be no suitable out-- i
let or approach to the west end of the bridge at the time of its acm
pletion in the spring. The visitors were informed by the Board that
the part of street, from Southwest "E" to "G" Street is outside the
city limits, and requested that they take this matter UP with the
1 County Commissioners, and have them to open and grade that part out-
; side the city, and the visitors were told by the Board, that if the
County will co-operate with the city, the city will commence work on
grading that part of the street within the corporate limits.

The Special Council Committee, Board of Puolic Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, ;net in regular session at the office of sai
Board, Friday October 2nd, 1931, at 9 o ° clock A.ivi. kessrs, Ford
and Schnieder present ; Ir. Cra.00.. being aosent . Two members of
said Board being present. The following proceedings were had as .
follows, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
W. E. Wilson, was granted permission to cut the curb for driveway
at No. 28 South 17th Street .
A petition signed by James Conti et-al. praying for construction
of sidewalk on the new Happy Hollow bridge, was received and take:
under advisement .
The Street Commissioner was directed to construct sewer so as to
drain the basement of Everett Northrup in Northwest 17th Street,
he having been assessed for sanitary sewer, which is not deep
enou ,h to drain his 'casement .
The Board issued Contractors certificate No. .85, in favor of
John Dehner inc. , contractors under Improvement' Resolution No.
914-1930, for the construction of South "3" Street sewer, in
amount of 06772.46, the same being 05% of .work completed since
last certificate was issued. Total payment to data-074,430. 97.
The City Controller J . L. Bond, appeared before the Board and
made a verbal report of the financial condition of the city, and
advised that the city be very cautious in expenditures for the
balance of the year.
The Board approved the various payrolls to October 1st, 1931.
Claims in amount of 1933. 59 were allowed.
