Friday September 4th, 1911.
The Special Council Committe.e, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session'at the office Of said
Board on Friday September •4th, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the Mem-
bers of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb; and Schnieder being present
the following proceedings. were had, to-wit :
The minutes Of the preceeding meeting were read and' approved.
The City Attorney was instructed to prepare ' an appropriation ordi-
II . nance, to present ' to council' appropriating the sum of 33050.00 out
of the earnings of. M.E.L.& P .P. to pay costs arising from hearing
before the Public Service Commission of Indiana, in the Stanby servi e
and Rate casses hearing had. -
- Sup 't. , 'Hess, was authorized to purchase a Burroughs Book-keeping
machine for office at the price of 01750.00.
Pursuant - to advertisement, the'Board received bids for the construct
N ion of a temporary smoke stack at light plant as follows, viz:

v41. The Board upon recommendation award the contract for said stack
to Thomas Turner' & Son, beingconsidered the best bid submitted.
The City Clerk was directed to advertise for bids, for the erection
of a. "Fire Proof" building for housing of the fire alarm system,
under.,the-plans and specifications prepared therefore.
Pursuant to advertisement , the Board- received bids for the following
. equipment for the use of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power
Plant as follows, to-wit : .
II Item 1. Two (2) Underfeed Stokers. • ' -
Item 2. Price per hour less living expenses for erection engineer
to superintend the installation of, stokers.
