HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 17-189�tnolufian of fly) �-Ioroqtl -of Garterd, �q_ �- No. 17 -189 Dale of Adoption October 19, 2017 APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #3 NOE STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously awarded a contract to Lucas Construction Group, Inc., in the amount of $7,747,747.00 for the Noe Street Drainage Improvements Project; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T &M Associates, has advised the Governing Body that a modification to the contract is reasonable and necessary and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be modified in accordance with Change Order 94, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, Change Order #3 includes a change in the description of work to complete project construction and reflects as-built quantities; and WHEREAS, Change Order #3 provides for a net increase in the contract price in the amount of $18,877.83, resulting in a revised contract price of $8,096,375.28, including all change orders to date; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, T &M Associates, has advised that the above described changes and/or modifications to the project were unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough ,of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows: I. That Change Order #3, attached hereto and made a part hereof, providing for a net increase of $18,877.83 in the overall contract price, resulting in a revised total contract price of $8,096,375.28 including any modifications to the original contract price in accordance with any and all previously approved change orders, is hereby approved. 2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order #3 (See Attached). 3. That a copy of this Resolution and a fully executed copy of Change Order #3 be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and to T &M Associates for distribution to Lucas Construction Group.
