Office of Special Council Committee
City of Richmond, Indiana, •
Monday August 31st, 1931.
The Special Council Committee, Boara of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at- the office of said
Board, Monday. August 31st, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members
of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Orabb and Schnieder being present.
The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
The Sup 't . , of Parks was authorized to perceive prices on 300 shade
trees and make purchase thereof, if prices are right. . ° /
The Board issued Contractors certificate No. 83, in favor of John
Dehner, inc. , contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 914-1930
for the construction of South "B" Street sewer in amount of $15
736.00, the same being 85 of work completed since last certificate
te
was issued. Total payment to date-467, 658. 51.
Pursuant to advertisement, the Board received bids for furnishing
the city street department, with a used one or one-and one-half ton
truck chassis with or without cab as follows, to-wit :
International Harvester Company of America, bid;
One used 1930 Model International 1 ton truck chassis without
Ca.b--$475.00, if cab is desired, add. 070.00.
One used 1929 International 1 ton 6 speed special cab and chassis
0 dual rear wheels new tires and 3 5 paint .mil condition-4475.00.
The Board awarded the contract for le ton chassis at price named
$475.00; said International Co. , agreeing to install cab, by taking
one of the street department tractors in payment therefore.
Claims in amount of p6846. 71 were allowed.
