Monday August 17th,1931. -
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
Board, Monday August 17th, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members -
of said Board, Messrs, Ford, Crabb and Schnieder being present .
The following proceedings were ' had, to-wit : •
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.

Permission was granted Mrs. Kallie Richardson, to cut the curb for
driveway at 224 North --th Street .
A petition signed by Wheldon Smith and Wife, praying for improve-
ment of the alley 1st north of North "F" Street, rtnning from
North 8th to 9th Street, by cement roadway, was received and re-
ferred to Engineering Department for investigation and resolution.
The Board authorize fir. Schnieder, to have the metal roof on the
City Hall building painted.

The Board approved the various payrolls to August 16th, 1931.
Claims in amount of $2,978.36 were allowed.
The Board after viewing tentative estimaes filed by the various
departments for the 1932 budget, decide to call the heads of the
various departments for a meeting with the Special Council Commit-
tee, and members of council together with the Mayor and City Atty.
this evening immediately upon adjournment of council, in an effort
to prepare the budget for the year 1932, for advertisement and `
presentation to council at their next meeting for action.
