Friday July 17th, 1931
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board
Friday July 17 , 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said •
Board, Messrs, Ford & Schnieder, being present , the following proceed-
ings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meetings were read and approved.

A petition to abandon the old South 6th Street- below South " 0" Street
and connect the- old sewer with the new sewer at 'South "C" Street, was
received and referred to City Civil Engineer.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for the construction of
Road Bridge across Whitewater River in Happy Hollow, under specifi •
-
cations of the Indiana State Highway Com_mieeion.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for the construction of
a Concrete Rest Room together with necessary plumbing, in West 7th
Street Park.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Improvement Reso-
lution Not 919-1931, for concrete roadway in alleys between Northwest
6th & 7th Street and alley 1st north of Pearl Street to Northwest 7th
Street.
Permission was granted Mrs, Voelker, .to cut the curb on south side of
South "0" Street, between 6th & 5th Streets, at Tract 280, 0. Map, City:
The. Board approved contract with Pratt-Daniel .Cdrp. , for two Ventura
Stacks at $9767. 62, as per their bid received February, 1931.
The Board received bids for city advertising from April llth, 1931
to April llth 1932, as follows, to-wit :
Richmond Item Bid; 64¢ per 100 words for each insertion or 550 inch.
Richmond Palladium, 700 per 100' words
41e Board accepted the bid of Richmond Item at price of 640 per
100 words for year ending April llth, 1932.
The Board approved the various payrolls to July 16th, 1931.
Claims in amount of $12,044.36 were allowed.
