RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISPOSITION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11 -36 (2), municipalities are allowed to dispose
of surplus property to another contracting unit without advertisement or auction; and
WHEREAS, the Borough owns a 1987 Pierce Arrow pumper and a 1998 American La
France ladder truck that is no longer in service, as it was subsequently replaced by a 2015
Pierce Arrow pumper and a 2015 Pierce Arrow ladder truck; and
WHEREAS, as the Borough will not utilize the 1987 Pierce Arrow pumper truck and the
1998 American La France, it is the recommendation of the Fire Chief of the Borough of
Carteret to dispose of said vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey hereby authorizes the disposal of
the 1987 Pierce Arrow pumper and 1998 American La France ladder truck to the
Municipality of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
