It was moved by Kruse second by Lindaman that the Oiling assessment on file in the Clerks office, be levied in accordance therewith and the Clerk be directed to certify same to the County Auditor for taxes. motion carried. Treasurers report was read, received and ordered placed on file. It was moved by Kruse second by Haack that the f ollowing bills be paid. motion carried. November 23 1940. Council met in special session Mayor Ross presiding and councilmen H P Kruse, H L Luwe and Neil Okones present; - The purpose of the meeting was for the purpose of deciding what further action should be taken regarding drilling further for a new well; - The Well driller�Mes:�rs Hoeg & Ames report they have sunk 5 or 6 test holes for water at a depth of from 150 to £�00 feet and have not been able to strike a aufficie�t sup?�ly and it is their opinion that there is no water of sufficient qua.�tity available at that depth. >-��..� � /��d. Town iVi8yor also reports that the present old well seems to be giving out, to supply the quantity needed at the present time. After due and careful consideration, it vas moved by Okones, seconded by Kruse, that the first well dug , which being around 300 feet deep, be bridged at about 600 feet, this being the point where a good supply of water was reached at the time, and that the firm of Hoe & Amea begin at once and plug this well, and then begin tes�ing the same for supply at the depth above mentioned. motion carried. �}y� bc,� yz-.-.c..
