Friday lay 15th, 1931.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
-`'committee, Friday May 15th, 1931, at 9 o eclock A. M. Messrs, Ford
and Schnieder present ; Holzapfel absent ; Two members of said Com-
mittee being present, the following proceedings were had, to-u'it :
II The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and ap ;roved.
permission was granted the McClelland Casket Hardware Co . , to cut
the curbfor driveway at Richmiond Avenue and Northwest 7th Street.
Pursuant to continuance to this date on taking action on bids here-
tofore received for automobile trucks for street department, the
two members present not being able to decide the question, action
was deferred until MondayMay19th, 19 1 when ithoped full
ij , is a
membership of the Committee will be present .
The matter of arc light in Southwest ljth Street, between Main &
National Road was referred to Supt . , of Light Plant .
The S'up 't . , of M.L.L. & P. P. was authorized to purchase three car
load of coal per day for the next 30 days as follows, to-wit :
From Raymond City Coal Co. , one car a day @ , 2. 10 per ton North -bend

The •Sup 't . , of Light Plant reported condition of the 10, 000 N. .
Turbine at plant , and was directed to have proper repairs made.
0laims in amount, o1 , 1531.01 - ere allowed.
The Committee extend the contract with the T.H. I .& E. Traction CO
- as heretofore en etered into for the period Of six months from flay
20th to November 20th, 1331, for furnishing electric energy to
said company, subject to the approval of the Public Service Commis-
sion of Indiana.
The City Attorney filed a copy of brief submitted to Pualic 6ervicc
Commission of Indiana, in matter of Atlas Underwear Co. et-al VS.

The Special Council Committee,. Board. of Puolic Works, of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office .
of said .Committee, 'on Monday May .18th, 1331, at 9 o ' clock A.M.
All the members of said Committee, Messrs, Holzapfel, Ford and
• Schnieder being present, the following proceedings were had ' .
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.

The Committee met to take action on purchase of truck for the
Street Department , under bits heretofore received on Kay8th
131, after some discussion on this .matter, it was decided as
there was not enough money appropriated for the purchase two
trucks, the Com.iiittee award the contract for furnishing one •
1* ton International Model B-2 truck fully equiped and equipped
with 4 cu.yard steel dump body and G-1 Woods underbody hoist
delivered complete with enclosed cab, rear view -mirror and
windshield wiper at the price named in bid therefore submitted
by the International Harvester Co. , of America. i. e. complete
41118.60 less allowance for Ford truck 4150.00, net-4968.00.
The City Civil Engineer, was authorized to purchase a clue-
. prini;ing :Machine, part of purchase price to be paid ,out of
funds of the .City Plan Commission as agreed by them. .
In the matter of arc light in Southwest 13th Street, action
in the matter was deferred until further investigation.
Tne Co=ittee approved the various payrolls to Miay 16th, 1331.
