The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Committee, Friday May 8th, 1931, at 9 0 ° clock A.M. Messrs, Ford and Schnieder present ; Mr. Holzapfel, absent; Two members of said Committee being present . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceedi ng meeting were read and approved. • The Board approved the contract and bond of E.A.Mariani Co. , Inc. , for furnishing and applying Asphalt and Tar on the City Streets during the season of 1931. • The Board approved the bond of John Uehner Incorporated, contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 914-1930, for construction of what is known as the South "B" Street storm sewer. The Sup 't . , of Parks was authorized to rent one-half of the house purchased from the J .H.Hi 1l Company, at Glen Park, to one of the employes of the park at the monthly rental of �15.00 per month. Complaints from council received were referred to proper depart- ment heads, for investigation and relief. The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Comii mittee Monday May 4th, 1931 at 9 o 'clock A.M. All the members of said Committee,tee, Messrs, Holzapfel, Ford and Schnieder being present . The following pr'oceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and ap-proved. The Committee met, to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 919-1931, for improvement of the alley between Northwest 6th & 7th Street, from 1st alley north of pearl Street north 220 feet including circular drive; also the 1st • alley north of Pearl Street, from Northwest 6th to 7th Street, by constructing cement roadway, after hearing all persons interested who appeared the committee modified the resolution by striking out the east part of said alley, amending the same to read the 1st alley nort: of Pearl Street, from the alley between N•�1. 6th & 7th Streets, to Northwest 7th Street, the Bommittee decides :that the benefits tO the property liable_ to assessment for the cost of the improvements are equal to the cost of same, and thereupon take action, the said reso- lution being unanimously confirmed as modified. A petition signed G.D,Bortner et-al, for light at parking place in Glen Miller Park was received and referred to Sup 't . , of Parks for investigation and report. The Committee upon recommendation of Fire Chief, order fire hydrants installed as follows, viz : Harris & Reller Streets; Hunt & School 8ts; Sheridan & School Sts; Peacock Road & West 8th. Street ; SW.'i-th &"D" St ; South 23rd & "B" Sts; South llth & "LI! Finance Department upon. recommendation of City Civil Engineering Dept . , to pay to E.A.Mariani CO. , ' nc . , the 5% reserves due under following resolutions in amounts as follows; Resolution No. 905-1929 Resolution No.907-1930 ; 229,09 11 Said work being in satisfactory conditions and the amounts now due. The Born:nittee postpone action on bids received for trucks and dump body for Street Department , to Friday- hey 15th, 1331. • The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids to be received on Friday May 29th, 1931 at 10 o t clock A.M. for furnishing and installing twenty pair of steel truss rods and columns, to re- inforce the metal -work and stiffen four diagonals on the Doran Bridge, under the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engineer.
