Monday May -!-th, 1931.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Com
mittee Monday May 1 th, 1931 at 9 o °clock A.M. All the members of said
Committee, Messrs, Holzapfel, Ford and Schnieder being present. The
following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceedir_g meeting were read and approved.
111 The Committee met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement Resolution No. 919-1931, for improvement of
the alley between Northwest 6th & 7th Street, from 1st alley north of
pearl Street north 220 feet including circular drive; also the 1st
alley north of Pearl Street, from Northwest 6th to 7th Street, by
constructing cement roadway, after healing all persons interested who
appeared the committee modified the resolution by striking out the
east part of said alley, amending the same to read the 1st alley north
of Pearl Street, from the alley between NW. 6th & 7th Streets, to
Northwest 7th Street, the Bo miittee decides that the benefits tO the
Property liable to assessment for the cost of the improvements are
equal to the cost of same, and thereupon take action, the said reso-
lution being unanimously confirmed as modified.
A petition signed G.D.Bortner et-al, for light at parking place in
Glen Miller Park was received and referred to Sup 't . , of Parks for
investigation and report.
The Committee upon recommendation of Fire Chief, order fire hydrants
installed as follows, viz : Harris & Reller Streets; Hunt & School Sts;
Sheridan & School Sts; Peacock Road & West oth. Street ; SW.Yth &"D" St;
South 23rd & "B" Sts; South llth & "L" Sts; South 10th &"G"Sts;
South ll ,h &"F"Sts; South l4-th & 1 G" Sts; South 15th & "R" Sts
South loth & "B" Sts; S. 20th between Reeveston Road & South "r"St ;
South 22nd & B Sts; North 11-th & "D" Sts; N.19th & Pen.. R.R, soutih side
of railroad; North 12th & " I" Sts; South 16th &"G"Sts, or as near
above locations as may be ordered by chief of fire department .
The Committee authorize appr0or iation ordinance in amount of y 4,000.0C
for_ public obi ldings account & 45500.00 to bridge account .
The Committee directed the. Finance Department upon_ recommendation of
City Civil Engineering Dept . , to pay to E+ .A. Lariani Co. , inc . , the
5% reserves due under following resolutions in amounts as follows;
Resolution No. 905-1929 $72. 9
Resolution No. 907-1930 :; 229.09
Said work being in satisfactory conditions and the amounts now due.

The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said
Committee, Friday May • th, 1931, at 9 o ' clock A.M. Messrs, Ford
and SchnieCter present ; Mr. Holzapfel, absent; Two members of said .
Committee being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board approved the contract and bond. of E.A.hariani Co. , Inc. ,
for furnishing and applying Asphalt and Tar on the City Streets
during the season of 1931.
The Board approved the bond of John Dehner Incorporated, contractors
under Iwprouement Resolution No. 914E-1930, for construction of
what is known as the South IIB" Street storm sewer.
The Sup 't . , of Parks was authorized to rent one-half of the house
purchased from the J .H.Hill Company, at Glen Park, to one of the
employes of the park at the monthly rental of 4}15.00 per month.
Complaints from council received were referred to proper depart-
ment heads, for investigation and relief.
The Committee. received bids, for furnishing 1* ton truck complete
with dual rear wheels, and hydraulic hoist dump body; also one
chassis without cab, and single read wheels, as follows, to-wit :
