City of Richmond, Indiana,
Monday April 13th, 1931.
The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the Office of the Mayor
of said City, on Monday April 13th, 1931, at 9 o ' clock A. I. All the
Members of said Committee, Messrs, Holzapfel, Ford and Schnieder
being present. The following proceedings were' had, to-wit :
Upon recotnendation of Sup 't . , of Light Plant, the Committee order
Arc Light. placed at North "U" & Starr Streets.
The Committee authorize Sup 't . , of Light Plant to contract for one
car of coal per day from Raymond City Coal Co. , Nut & Slack C 6
per torn at mine, or, 42.10 per tom North Bend, Ohio, and one .car a
day from the West Va. , Coal and Coke Co. , C 690 per tone mine or
92.11 per ton North Bend, Ohio. ," for period of 30 days.
A communication was received from J . N. Elmer, V.B. & cashier of
the Second National Bank of this City, requesting that the City
appropriate money from the General Funds to pay Barrett Law, bonds
& interest coupons unpaid for want of funds, caused by delinquent
and unpaid assessments, stating the transfering of such general fund
would be a step in the right direction and would show a willingness
of the City to establish a policy of supporting Public Improvements
and would help to atabclize improvement bonds issued by the City,
referred to the Common Council.
The Sup 't . , of Light Plant was authorized to negdiate with J . R.
'allon, architect, to prepare plans etc. , for remodeling and re-
pair/iing; the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant Office Build-
ing at 32 South oth Street, contract to be presented to the City
Attorney for investigation and report before entering into contract
- for said plans etc . ,
Claims in amount of 4250. 57 were allowed
