HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-02-1931 Office of Special Council Committee City of Richmond, Indiana, 50•I Friday April 2nd, 1931. • The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the Mayor 's Office of said City, Friday April 2nd, 1931 at 9 o ° clock A.M. All the members Messrs, Ford and Schnieder being present_. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : I/ The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. ermission was granted Russell Ratliff, to cut the curb at 405 College Avenue, for driveway. Permission was granted Frank Lombard, to out curb a3t 717 N. 19th St . , The Committee unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.919-1731, for the improvement of the alley between Northwest 6th & 7th Street, from 1st alley north of Pearl Street, to a point north 220 feet and including a circular driveway (52) ' in diameter; Also the 1st alley north of pearl Street, from Northwest 6th to 7th Street; by construct- ing a cement roadway in said alleys the full width thereof. Upon the recommendation of Mr. Rudolph Crandall, Lighting Engi neer, the contract for re-wiring the second floor and new fixtures, was awarded to George H. Kramer, at price named in his bid submitted therefore on March 30th, 1931. Upon the recommendation of the Building Inspector, the contract for .lineleoum to cover the Council Chamber, City Clerk ' s Office, private office of City Civil Engineer and the hall and toilet on second floor of the City Hall was awarded to Holthouse Furniture Store, at price named in their bid of March 30th, 1931, using medium 3/16" brown or terra cotta on lz,r felt cemented complete @ 0625.17. _ Wm. Johnson, was granted permission to use the city 's ground west of Clear Creek and north of Main Street, for gardening purpose during the season of 1931, upon payment of the sum of tiP5.00 to city for such use, with the understanding the weeds be kept cut and free from the premises.
