Monday March 23rd, 1931.The Special Council Committee, Board of Public Works of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office
of said Committee, Monday March 23rd, 1931, at 9 o 'clock A.T .
All the members of said Committee, Messrs, Ford and Schnieder
being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
Mr. Fahlsing, President of Committee, having met death at the
C.� U.Ry. crossing on the Union Pike, Saturday March 21st, 1931,
Mr. Ford, was selected president pro-tem.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
pursuant to continuance to this date, the Committee met to hear
all persons interested or whose property is affected under Im-
provement Resolution No. 918-1931, for the improvement of South
16th Street, by constructing cement sidewalks; Co & G. planting
trees on both sides of street and paving the roadway, with one
of the following kinds of -averments, to-wit; Concrete, Asphalt.
Rock Asphalt or Bituminous Re-tread Macadam, from South"E" to
"H" Street. The Cor.aittee received thru the city civil engineer
an affidavit signed by Adelaide & Alice Kearns and Mildred Dilks
resident property owners, that if they are permitted to lay o .t
lots of a frontage of forty-two, feet and of a depth of one-half
block, or lots of equal area, they hereby agree not to remon-
strate against the proposed prgq g of South 16th Street.
The Committee decide that th °t erty liable to assessment for
said improvements are equal to the cost of same as reported by
the city civil engineer, and thereupon take action on said re-
solution, the same being confirmed without modification, (The •
City agreeing to pay for street and alley intersections)
The Committee approved the contract a_ bond of Daniel G®Burkhardt •
contractor for improvement under Improvement Resolution No.917-
1931.
Claims in amount of 336. 71 were allowed.
The Special Council Committee
then adjourned,
